Chemistry Lesson Plans
October 2nd - 5th
We are starting our measurement
unit and focusing on good lab skills to show accuracy and precision and making
good measuring decisions. We will begin
The Energy of Foods Lab by using the computational chemistry program WebMO to
design and analyze a carbohydrate and a fat and their heats of formation. Then we will compare the sugar and the fat in
a wet lab where we burn these foods and look at trends in heats of combustion.
Monday
1. Qualitative Analysis Labs due
2. go over practice sets 1
3. finish side 2
4. finish measurement lab and data - due
Wednesday
5. energy of foods pre-lab
6. temp homework due tomorrow
Tuesday:
