Week
13 - LESSON PLANS November 5th to 9th
CHEMISTRY
I - This week we are preparing for our
measurement unit test and finishing up with a lab over the specific heats of
metals. Short assessments are given over
dimensional analysis and significant digits in rounding. Chapter 3 introduces the concept of the atom so
we prepare with a pre-test to see what knowledge the students have.

CHEMISTRY
II - The gas law chapter ends with a test for assessment. This week we also begin a look into nuclear
chemistry and how it has impacted history.
Nuclear stability will be investigated as students predict which
isotopes are more stable than others based on the proton-neutron ratio and
other factors.

grade nuclear stability worksheet
4.
quiz over it Monday
5.
continue notes thru Chernobyl
AP
CHEMISTRY
This
week will finish up solubility constant equilibrium, a concept that will be
revisited throughout the year while reviewing acid base chemistry and
thermochemistry. An unknown lab is
performed where students are given six unknown solutions and use them to match
to a set of chemicals. Solubility rules
are tested in this manner.
Monday:
1.
ion quiz back
2.
Ksp notes
3.
finish equilibrium review for Weds
Tuesday:
1.
Ksp notes
2.
bozeman Ksp
3.
Ksp worksheet #1 due Thursday
4.
equilibrium review due tomorrow
Wednesday:
1.
equilibrium review - grade
2.
Ksp notes continued
3.
Ksp worksheet #2 due Friday
Thursday:
1.
grade Ksp worksheet #1
2.
finish Ksp notes
3.
worksheet #2 due tomorrow
4.
