Chemistry I – Chapter 3 – the atom – is explored – BRING BOOKS TO CLASS THIS WEEK!  Measurement Unit is assessed with a test and the concept of the mol is introduced.

 

Monday:

1.       Lecture on chapter 3

2.       Mol lab rotation and make rough draft of data table

3.       Mol Lab due Friday

4.       Measurement Test Friday

5.       Getting to Know your Book due Tuesday of next week

6.       Proton electron neutron worksheet front side – finish for Friday

 

Thursday:

1.        Measurement Test

2.       GTK your Book due Tuesday 11/17

3.       Finish Mol Lab rotation

4.       Continue lecture on smart guys

 

Advanced Chemistry:  We are finishing up the chapter 6 unit on Lewis Structures and Bonding in preparation for a test next Tuesday 11/19.  The review will be graded on Friday 11/13.

 

Tuesday:

1.       Questions on ch 6 review that is due Friday???

2.       Gas Law notes thru Boyle’s Law

3.       Boyle’s Law Practice Problem together

4.       Boyle’s Law Practice set off packet due Tuesday 11/19

5.       Boyle’s Law Practice problems worksheet due Tuesday 11/19

6.       Cartesian Diver lab discussed

 

Friday:

1.       Grade ch 6 Review

2.       Cartesian Diver Lab – Boyle’s Lab

 

AP Chemistry: The hydrocarbon unit will end with a comprehensive review and test this week.  Halocarbon reactions are studied.

2.      Test is Friday

3.      Halocarbon discussion and worksheet on reaction mechanisms

4.      Ch 6 review homework is due 11/19

5.      Begin ch 8 review homework on phase changes
