CHEMISTRY I  - This week we are preparing for our measurement unit test.  Chapter 3 introduces the concept of the atom and the mol, an amount of substance.

Monday:  gone 6th - 8th to EIU to present

1.  quiz back over sig figs and metric - 4th hour

ADV CHEMISTRY II - We will continue our unit in Nuclear Chemistry, focusing on the different types of radioactive decay and its effects on human tissue.   Three Mile Island and Chernobyl will be discussed as well as the concept of half-life.  An assessment on nuclear stability where one compares the stability of different isotopes to pick the more stable one will be given.  Students will need to begin studying the different types of particles, their symbols, and their charges and masses.

Monday:

AP CHEMISTRY - This week will finish up Ksp equilibrium - will a precipitate occur.  We will prepare for our visit of 100 kindergarteners before break and finish up our solubility unknowns lab.
