WEEK 2 Lesson Plans - January 13-17th

WEEK 2 Lesson Plans
Chemistry I - We will continue our discussion of electrons and how light acts continuing our spectrum tubes analysis and observing the signature light colors of the elements.  The Flame Test lab showed this using fire where the spectrum tubes excite electrons using electricity.  The dual nature of light will be explored using two equations to find wavelength, frequency, and energy of radiation.  The analogy of the atom as a hotel and electrons as people is introduced to show how electrons are mobile, but also can be found in a specific place in the electron cloud.
