Week 2 Lesson Plans August 24th -28th

Week 2 Lesson Plans August 24th -28th

Chemistry I – Last week we were in the lab to cut, fire polish, and bend glass tubing.  This allows me to identify the pyromaniacs and deviants so I am aware of their presence in the lab.  It is fine to be fascinated by fire, but we need to be safe.  I certainly love fire myself.  We will review lab equipment to help with the Unit I assessment.   Students are getting to know their books through a series of book worksheets developed to encourage the reading of the text.  A new lab – The Physical and Chemical Properties Lab – introduces the students to Unit II and the format of writing lab reports.

Monday:  BRING BOOKS AND CALCULATOR THIS WEEK!

1.       Lab Safety Post-tests

2.       Pick up Physical and Chemical Properties Lab and lab report sheet

3.       GTK your Book due – questions?

4.       Unit I Test with Lab equipment Wednesday

5.       Element review due Friday
